SecureBooking offers travel services including hotels, tours, and safaris to luxury destinations around Southern Africa. Somewhere around 2001 we implemented their booking system. Booking systems can get rather complicated:
The booking itself must navigate through the a complex workflow. Bookings can land up in various states while also integrating with various hotel software systems, payment gateways, as well as keeping the client and affiliates up-to-date.
As the business grows and as technologies adapt over time, we are still pleased how well the original structure was flexible enough to handle all the new and on-going requirements. (Okay,with some exceptions!)
